A Big Dipper Party is the perfect party idea for grown ups, whether you are planning a 21st, a 30th, a social gathering or after-work drinks with your team. Located within the Big Top venue, this party venue caters for 20 - 60 guests right in the heart of the fun rides, games and atmosphere of Luna Park.
The Big Dipper Party package includes Unlimited Rides Passes, delicious gourmet food platters and a reserved area in the bar.

Please contact us first on 02 9033 7538 or 02 9033 7541 to check availability. If available, please fill out the booking form and return via email, mail or fax. Once the 10% deposit and completed booking form are processed, you will receive confirmation and a receipt. Please keep in mind that bookings are only accepted six weeks prior to event date.

Big Dipper Parties are suitable for casual gatherings such as birthdays, corporate outings, family celebration, team building days or farewell drinks.
Where are the Big Dipper Parties held?
Big Dipper Parties are held in Big Top Foyer 1. The Big Top Foyer 1 is the pre-show area, equipped with a bar and joined to the Big Top Auditorium which is used for our larger events and concerts. Big Top Foyer 1 can be used for smaller events such as casual bar parties or social gatherings when the Big Top Auditorium is not in use for a larger event or concert.
Will my Big Dipper Party have exclusive access to the bar?
The bar in Big Top Foyer 1 will be accessible to your party guests, as well as other Big Dipper Parties and the public.
As use of the Big Top Foyer 1 is dependant on events being held in the Big Top Auditorium, bookings can only be made up to 6 weeks prior to your desired date. Please contact us to check availability on #02 9033 7538 or #02 90337541.

When do I need to finalise guest numbers and payment by?
We ask that you finalise your guest numbers, orders and payment 5 working days prior to your selected date.
There are three ways you can make a payment:
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express payments are due five days prior to your selected date
- Direct Deposit payments are due seven days prior to your selected date
- Cheque payments are due seven working days prior to your selected date
Please note American Express is not accepted at the bar.

What if I have more than 60 guests?

How long do Big Dipper Parties go for?
The reserved area in the Big Top Foyer 1 can be booked for up to 4 hours.
Luna Park will provide you with delicious gourmet food platters as a part of the Big Dipper Party Package. You can bring along your own cake/cupcakes, however other food is not permitted.
Can the platters of food come out at different times?
You can request a specific time for your platters of food to come out, however all platters will be delivered at the same time.
Can I order more food on the day?
So that our chefs can be prepared, all food orders must be placed five working days in advance. Additional food cannot be ordered on the day.
How many platters should I order?
One platter per eight people is the recommended to fill each partygoers belly. This includes all food options except the wedges platter.
Can I organise a drinks package for my guests?
As Big Dipper Parties are casual bar parties, you have the option to create a bar tab, or use a regular cash bar.
How many unlimited rides passes can I purchase?
As many as you like! We do require at least 50% of your group to pre purchase the unlimited rides pass for the booking to go ahead.
A little bit of rain usually just means that the rides queues are shorter! Rain or shine your party will take place on your selected date. Generally, almost all of the attractions will continue to operate during wet weather. Your reserved area is an indoor space, and we also have plenty of indoor rides & activities like Coney Island and Dodgem City if you would like to stay dry. If you decide not to come on the day of your booking we are unable to provide a refund.
Yes! You're welcome to decorate the area with balloons and banners however table scatters & confetti are not permitted. Luna Park can supply balloons at $3.00 each.
What is the $10.00 per person charge?
The $10.00 per person charge covers the reserved area and party host costs. The party host is there to manage your reserved area and to ensure everything is running smoothly.
Yes, children are welcome at Big Dipper Parties. There is a $10.00 per person charge applies to any guests over 6 years old. We also have special rates for the unlimited rides pass for children under 6 years old.
It wouldn't be a party without music, would it? Unfortunately you cannot bring your own music but don't worry! There will be music playing in the foyer area for you to enjoy.
