You will need to have a minimum of 10 full paying guests to book a party.
When do I need to finalise guest numbers by?
So that you can have the most fun possible, we ask that you finalise and provide full payment by the Wednesday prior to your party weekend. Once full payment has been made this is non-refundable.
There are three ways you can make a payment:
- Visa, MasterCard or American Express payments are due the Wednesday prior to your party weekend
- Direct Deposit payments are due five working days prior to your party weekend
- Cheque payments are due five working days prior to your party weekend
What time can I have my party?
We have three party sessions available to choose from: 11am-12:30pm, 1pm-2:30pm or 3pm-4:30pm. Rides are unlimited so children can go on the rides at any time before or after the party time slot.
Lunch is served within the first 15 minutes of your booked time slot so please ensure your guests are at the party room on time. Other children's parties may occur at the same time.
What happens in the Party room for 1.5 hours?
The party room is where your group will have lunch, cut the cake and enjoy a special appearance from Luna Bob & Luna Belle. There won't be any party games provided by the party hosts during the lunch session, but there will be plenty of time to make the most of the unlimited rides!
Can we go on the rides before our party?
Of course you can! You can go on the rides at any time, as long as the Park is open and operating. This may mean that if you book an 11am party, and the Park opens at this time, you will need to wait until after your lunch session, but don't worry! Rides are unlimited and you will have the rest of the day to enjoy them.
Where do I go to collect the rides wristbands?
As a partygoer you can forget about the Ticket Box queues; your wristbands will be available for collection at the party room from our party hosts. On the day, our party hosts will need to stamp each child whilst placing the wristband on the child's wrist. The stamp will help the rides staff in identifying their height when they choose a ride.
A little bit of rain usually just means that the rides queues are shorter! Rain or shine your party will take place on your selected date. Generally, almost all of the attractions will continue to operate during wet weather. Your party room is an indoor area, and we also have plenty of indoor rides & activities like Coney Island and Dodgem City if you would like to stay dry. If you decide not to come on the day of your booking we are unable to provide a refund, but you can postpone your party if you give us at least 48 hours notice.
Can supervising adults attend our party?
Entry to Luna Park is FREE so supervising helpers and additional parents are welcome to come along on the day. Each party booking of 10 children receives two free unlimited rides passes for two supervising parents and entry into the party room. If there are any additional supervisors who wish to attend the party room, a $5pp surcharge applies. This includes a seat at the party table & soft drinks.
Due to Occupational, Health & Safety policies we must monitor the number of guests attending the party room, so you will need to advise your final guest numbers by the Wednesday prior to your party. As there is a maximum capacity in the party room, any unannounced guests on the day may be unable to enter the room if there are a number of bookings taking place at the same time.
Additional adults that do not wish to enter the party room are welcome to relax at Fish & Sips or the Coney Island Café which are located next door to the party room. Please note that while a party host is in the party room for your assistance, we cannot provide direct supervision of each table or of children while in the Park.
What about extra adults that want to go on the rides?
Accompanying Adult rides passes are available at a discounted rate for those that wish to accompany any Red or Green pass children on rides. For more information on how Luna Park ticketing works, visit our Ticketing Page
You are welcome to bring your own cake and lolly bags, however any other food that has not been purchased from Luna Park outlets is not allowed in the party room.
I am bringing my own cake; can I drop it off before our party time?
You can drop off your cake to the party room at any time during Park opening hours and our party host will store it for you while your group enjoy the rides. The best way to make the most of your day is to head straight to the party room when you arrive to drop off your cake and/or collect your wristbands. Please note that the party room and your party host will only be available during Park hours, so early morning drop-offs when the Park is not operating are not possible.
Your booked children's party table/s will be decorated with colourful table cloths and colourful balloons. We will also supply sufficient disposable plates and cups.

I have a guest that has allergies attending the party; can you cater for this guest?
Yes, Luna Park can cater for children with allergies/sensitivities. All we require from you is notification in writing of any guests with allergies 2 week prior to the party. The menu of hotdogs, chicken nuggets, and hot chips may contain traces of peanut oil, peanuts and other nuts. They may also contain fish, dairy products, shell fish or eggs.

Is it worth booking the party package if the majority of children are less than 2 years old?
We would not recommend booking the party package if the majority of your guests are less than two years old. To enjoy rides at Luna Park, you need to be at least 85cm tall, and children less than 2 years old are usually under this height. As each party guest is given a rides wristband as a part of the party package, children under the height of 85cm are not eligible for the package and cannot count towards the minimum of ten guests required to make a party booking.
Can I organise additional entertainment?
Luna Park can arrange a number extras to be added to your booking at an additional cost, including entertainment such as face painters or magicians. Please contact the Group Sales Coordinator to discuss your optional extras on #02 9033 7538.
Luna Park is located in Milsons Point, just under the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It’s incredibly easy to get to by train, ferry, bus or car. If you need to take a giant pile of birthday presents home with you, Luna Park has it's very own secure car park with direct access to the Midway, so there's no need to walk far or climb any stairs. How far in advance should I make a booking?
So that you don't miss out on the fun, we recommend you book 3-4 weeks prior to your desired date. Children's parties are held on both Saturdays & Sundays.
