Experienced Electrician with industrial experience required to join the Maintenance Team. Enjoy the fun atmosphere, amazing Milsons Point location and the opportunity to work on specialised machinery such as the amusement park rides and venue facilities/equipment.
This role requires a ‘hands on’ licensed Electrician with experience fault finding, wiring, installs, reading and interpreting circuit drawings in an Industrial environment. Work on a range of electrical services, rides and venue facilities including variable speed drives and switch gear. Join a multi-disciplinary team where you will be expected to assist with tasks outside of the electrical field, but within your scope of experience/training, such as conducting rides checks.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be trade qualified, a current Electrical License is essential
  • Licensed to work at heights eg EWP, BL, SL (desirable not essential)
  • Have extensive post trade experience in electrical services on LV systems for general scheduled  maintenance, restoration, general repairs and testing
  • Industrial experience a definite advantage
  • Have knowledge of a CMMS and experience to enter & close out work orders.
  • Have a general understanding of PLC operating systems and their maintenance
  • Experience in motor switchgear, control and variable speed drives, star delta & DOL
  • Be confident in reading and interpreting circuit drawings

This temporary position requires a hands on, experienced Carpenter to perform a variety of carpentry and joinery services for restoration; general repairs and construction; work on buildings, venue facilities and amusement park equipment. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Must have completed a Carpentry and Joinery trade certificate
  • Licensed to work at heights eg EWP, BL, SL (desirable not essential)

  • Possession of current Chainsaw, EWP and Scaffold / Rigger tickets (desirable)

Sydney’s much-loved Luna Park is a unique entertainment precinct on the Harbour foreshore where everyone goes ‘Just 4 Fun’.

The retail food and beverage (FAB) offering at Luna Park includes grab and go items, fast food and bistro menu options. Luna Park FAB outlets are currently undergoing a substantial refurbishment, as such, this is a newly created role best suited to a Chef de Partie with retail experience.

The Position:

Join the fun and excitement when Luna Park soon reveals the first newly designed and themed retail food and beverage outlet within the amusement park. The part time, Retail Food and Beverage (FAB) Outlet Coordinator is a newly created position, introduced to ensure we provide our guests a quality experience with improved service, enhanced menu and the outlet facilities are maintained in prime condition.

Daily responsibilities of the retail food and beverage outlet coordinator may include:

  • Coordinate daily operational aspects of a food outlet, including performing opening and closing procedures
  • Monitor and respond to wastage concerns
  • Monitor and respond to spend per head targets and recommend new promotional ideas to increase SPH
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and replenish as required
  • Ensure attractive product displays with appropriate signage and product positioning to entice purchase
  • Ensure product pricing is accurate and updated within the POS registers
  • Ensure digital signage is accurate and operational
  • Check equipment is satisfactorily maintained, and report maintenance issues for repair
  • Complete and check HACCP process are being followed and reported
  • Perform outlet administration
  • Monitor RSA and food safety compliance within policies and legislation
  • Communicate with outlet team members regarding operational objectives
  • Perform team member outlet orientation, provide support and training
  • Act in a hands-on capacity in the outlets.

The successful candidate will require:

Maintenance role with a difference! Work in a fun atmosphere, enjoy an amazing Milsons Point location and represent one of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. Luna Park is a unique multi-purpose entertainment precinct with a heritage amusement park, premier catering and state of the art venues.

The position:

Luna Park Sydney is currently looking for Ride Technicians to join the Maintenance team. Contribute to an amazing experience for our guests through rigorous inspection of our Rides, ensuring they are safe for our visitors to enjoy. 

As a Ride Technician, you will conduct daily statutory checks on all amusement rides, following a rigid and routine inspection process. Attention to detail and care is key, when conducting the ride inspections and ensuring all records are completed that satisfy legislative compliance. A Ride Technician will also be required to attend to concerns raised from Ride Operators and assist in the event of ride evacuations. You will also spend your time supporting the trade qualified Fitters and Electricians with general maintenance tasks.

Polite and pleasant customer service skills are required in this position as you will be interacting with the public when attending to the rides, and the ability to remain calm and work under pressure in emergency situations is essential.

This role is predominately Friday through Monday (day and/or evening shifts), however we will consider applicants interested in either a full time or part time capacity. These roles may suit a range of applicants including those with trade experience seeking reduced hours prior to retirement.
