  • What is happening at Luna Park Sydney?

    Luna Park Sydney has announced a $30 million upgrade of the park, which is one of Australia’s most loved and best-known destinations. The upgrade will involve the introduction of nine new and exciting rides. It is the most significant upgrade of Luna Park since the park reopened in 2004.

  • What type of rides are being introduced?

    Nine exciting new rides will be introduced. The rides will include six new children’s rides; a thrill ride; a family coaster; and an anchor coaster – the return of The Big Dipper, which will be the first inline seating launch roller coaster in the world.

  • When will the Park reopen? 

    The amusement park closed on January 27, 2021. However, our functions, venues and events will continue as per normal. We expect to reopen that famous Luna Park face to the public again in mid-2021!

  • Do I have to purchase a ticket if I am not planning on riding?

    Depending on current government restrictions, we may have to have to set a capacity limit on the number of guests that are in the Park at any one time. In that instance, all Guests who are 2 years of age and older OR 85 centimetres or over in height, as determined by Luna Park Sydney, will require a ticket for entry.

  • Can I use my Annual Pass, Multi Visit Pass, existing Unlimited Rides Pass, Black Friday Family Pass, or Groupon Pass as soon as the Park re-opens?

    Only valid passes or tickets may be used for entry. All pre-purchased passes and tickets (Annual Passes, Multi Visit Passes or Pre-existing Unlimited Rides Passes) can be used, however you will still need to book a session date.

    Please be aware that these tickets are limited and there is an allocation for each day. You are also required to bring your valid Annual, Multi Visit or existing Unlimited Rides Pass with you to show on arrival.

    If your Annual Pass has not been activated, you must activate the pass at the Membership Desk located in the Park prior to booking your tickets online.

    Annual Passes are only valid for one session per day.

    All pre-existing tickets must be valid on the day of attendance and will be checked on arrival.

    Annual Pass Friend for Free entitlements are not valid if the Park is operating at reduced capacity.

    All Groupon Tickets expired on the 20th December 2020 – no further extensions apply

  • I am a carer and will be accompanying a guest with a disability, do I need to purchase a ticket?

    A carer accompanying a guest with a disability for the sole purpose of assisting that person will be provided with a Rides Pass free of charge via email. Companion card holders must show a valid NSW Companion Card to gain entry to the Park.

  • Can I use my Gift Card to purchase tickets?

    Not at the moment as we are upgrading our systems. Stay tuned for updates on how and when Gift Cards can be used.

  • I am an Annual Passholder, Multi Visit Passholder, Pre-existing Unlimited Rides Passholder, Gift Card Holder, Black Friday Family Passholder, or other Rides Pass holder. Will I be given a refund or credit for the amount of time the park was closed?

    Given the mandate to cease operations from the Federal and State Governments, we will be honouring the validity period lost due to the closure and applying this to the pass from the date of reopen.

    This applies to the following passes:

    • Annual Passes
    • Multi Visit Passes
    • Unlimited Rides Pass
    • NAB Staff Club
    • Neat Ideas Ticket Holders
    • Ticket Mates (Experience OZ & NRMA) Ticket Holders

    For example: if you had two weeks validity on your Annual Pass at park closure, the two weeks will be added to your pass when the park re-opens. This will come into effect from the 3rd July.

  • What happens if it rains?

    The Park will continue to operate during wet weather, however during periods of high winds or lightning, the operation of some rides may be suspended. Refunds or exchanges will not be granted if your session goes ahead. As the majority of the experience is outdoors, we do suggest you bring rain jackets with you.

  • What if I am unable to attend my date?

    All sales are final. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded unless the session is cancelled by Luna Park Sydney

  • Can I still access the car park?

    Yes, the car park is open to all guests and has 370 secure spaces. Entry is via Paul Street, just off Alfred St South, Milsons Point and pricing is based on an hourly rate.

  • How else can I get to Luna Park Sydney?

      It is essential that every Guest understands that by entering Luna Park Sydney, you agree that you are well and not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms as outlined in our Health and Safety Declaration Form. Click here to read our Health and Safety Declaration Form.

    • What do I need to know when it comes to Important Health and Safety information?

      We’re committed to keeping you and your loved ones safe, but this does mean we have had to make some changes to the usual Park experience. In line with the latest Government health regulations, Luna Park has taken precautionary measures to managing the spread of COVID-19. Expect enhanced cleaning measures along with specific entry requirements for all staff and Guests.
